The Bicycle Map Project is an independent initiative, highlighting a bicycle route map for KL city. Compiled and ridden by local cycling & commuting volunteers. This map hopes to act as a guide and journey planner for cyclists. Apart from looking into safety and connectivity, it hopes to open up Kuala Lumpur into becoming a cycle-able city for everyone.
There will be 4 print runs, the first print was done end September 2014. 10,000 maps have been printed and are being distributed around Kuala Lumpur city and also some places along the peninsular and the region. These maps are free, and should still be available till mid-2015. Check distribution locations. This project has made the utmost effort to involve traditional trades and crafts and be as environmentally friendly as possible. The first print-run is sponsored and printed by Art Printing Works on old-paper stock.
